Paola Clauser new Editor-in-Chief
The European Society of Radiology (ESR) is delighted to announce that Dr. Paola Clauser has taken office as the new Editor-in-Chief of Insights into Imaging as of January 1, 2025.
Paola Clauser is a radiologist and Deputy head of the urogenital imaging section in the Department of biomedical imaging and image-guided therapy at the Medical University of Vienna, where she completed her PhD dissertation. She is also a board member of the European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI) and a co-founder of the EUSOBI Young Club. She has more than 100 publications in journals with an Impact Factor. Furthermore, she has editorial experience as a Deputy Editor (Breast) of La Radiologia Medica and Section Editor (Breast) for European Radiology Experimental. In addition, she has been a Scientific Editorial Board Member in European Radiology and Insights into Imaging, and an active reviewer in journals such as Radiology, Lancet Digital Health, and Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
During her term, she aims to prioritise value-based radiology that not only considers the scientific evidence but also the benefits for patients and society. She also strives to increase the focus on multidisciplinarity and the role of radiologists in patient management and decision-making.
