Luis Martí-Bonmatí’s Farewell as Editor-in-Chief

 

The European Society of Radiology (ESR) announces the conclusion of Prof. Martí-Bonmatí’s term of office.

 

 

During his editorship, Prof. Martí-Bonmatí continuously fostered the notion of critical thinking, questioning, and evaluating evidence within the published manuscripts of Insights into Imaging. He also engaged a strong group of Deputy Editors who have crucially supported the editorial decision-making process, supported by the equally important Editorial Board. Together with his editorial team, Prof. Martí-Bonmatí achieved an Impact Factor that placed Insights into Imaging in the first quartile (Q1) of the journal category. This achievement could not have been possible without the immense contribution of the reviewers. To highlight the importance of the reviewers and entice new reviewers to join the community, he proudly rolled out the first ever ESR Journals Reviewer Workshop, aiming to create a common basis for understanding and sharing knowledge between editorial members and reviewers.

By ceasing his term, he wishes Dr. Paola Clauser, his successor as the Editor-in-Chief, to continue the success story of Insights into Imaging, and gives her his full support and deepest admiration for undertaking this remarkable task.
