Impact Factor for 2021 announced: 5.036

The European Society of Radiology (ESR) is thrilled to announce the 2021 Impact Factors for its Journals! Insights into Imaging, in its only third year of Impact Factor, once again scored above 5.0, reaching an outstanding 5.036, currently ranking 34th in the category!

European Radiology achieved an IF of 7.034, its highest score to date! It also moved up in the rankings of the category “Radiology, Nuclear Medicine & Medical Imaging” reaching 20th position.

Overall, many journals in the ranking have seen increases in their IFs, mostly owing to numerous COVID publications. It is encouraging to see that an educational journal such as Insights into Imaging maintained its high ranking, becoming the second ESR Journal in the first quartile (Q1) of the category.
