Luis Martí-Bonmatí appointed as incoming Editor in Chief

We are pleased to announce that Luis Martí-Bonmatí has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of Insights into Imaging as of January 2018. He will take over from Robert Hermans, who has served as the Editor-in-Chief since 2010. The transition will commence this autumn.

Luis Martí-Bonmatí is director of Medical Imaging Department at La Fe University and Polytechnic University Hospital, and chief of radiology at Quirónsalud Hospital, Valencia, Spain. He is also the director of the Biomedical Imaging Research Group (GIBI230) at La Fe Health Research Institute. He is a long-time member of the European Society of Radiology and has served as chairperson of the ESR Research Committee from 2010-2013. He is currently a member of the Scientific Council of the European Institute of Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR), an ESR initiative. Martí-Bonmatí has authored over 450 publications and 57 book chapters, and has been the Editor of 10 books. Most of his publications focus on magnetic resonance, clinical radiology, the development of imaging biomarkers, and engineering-supported biomedical research. “I look forward to this new challenge, and hope that I can develop the scientific influence of Insights into Imaging to engage our audience even further.” Prof. Martí-Bonmatí states.
